Can anyone help identify a quail egg?

My son and I found an unhatched egg in our woods amongst several hatched eggs. We think it's a quail egg but can't seem to find pictures on the Internet to help us compare and identify. It is tear-drop shaped, cream colored with brown speckles and larger than a Robin's egg. Absolutely beautiful.

If you found the nest in a tree then it wasn't a quail egg as they make their nests on the ground. Hope this helps.

It sounds like a quail egg but it might of been a dud. Just like richard g. said if it came from a nest in the tree it isn't a quail egg.
