Was the parrot, Paulie from the movie, Paulie an eclecsus parrot, the male eclecsus looks the same as Paulie?

Just look at the green parrot in the first parrot. Sorry I couldnt find anything better. So is it just me or does the green parrot look almost exactly like Paulie. There are more pictures of the green parrots on the page but that one was the best likeness.

Paulie was a blue-crowned conure. The picture on the front of the movie box does look somewhat like an eclectus, though. On many editions, the green is too bright, it doesn't really show the blue on the head, and the beak is more orange than in real life (or in the actual movie).



An eclectus is considerably larger, has quite different feather texture, and doesn't have an eye ring (Paulie does). Most male Eclectus also have blue leading edges on their wings; some have red on the belly, as well. Many have the have the two-tone candy corn upper mandible. Though you can't see it in the picture on the movie box, the blue crown conure also has a red undertail, while Eclectus have a green/black undertail.
