its a baby seagull who can't fly yet however, the baby seagull got stuck on this pipe thing in our yard and my dad was going to help out the baby seagull and the seagulls parents thought my dad was going to steal the baby seagull so they started to attack my dad and the seagulls parents can't go near the baby seagull because its not a area where the seagulls would go and the baby seagull fell into that pipe so that's how it got stuck and eventually the baby seagulls parents left after few hours and while they were gone for help i think... my dad got the baby seagull out of the pipe and the baby seagull is very scared and its waiting for its parents to come pick him or her up..

will the parents come back for the baby seagull :( i feel really sorry for the baby seagull..

Yes, parents will come back and feed and care for it. They won't "pick him up". But will bring him food where he is. Just leave him be, this happens often and the parents won't abandon him. You might hear him calling for food, but leave him be. Soon, the parents will feed him less and less, to encourage him to fly off on his own.

I found a seagull that couldn't fly but he wasn't a baby. We nursed him back to health and released him. All we could get him to eat was a bowl of live minnows. By the time he could fly, he was eating 30 minnows a day. It's a cute story because this crazy bird slept in the storage shed with a fan on him and he would lay right in front of it. If the parents don't come back and surely they will, that's what it would probably like to eat. Hope it works out.

They like fish - if you have any left-over fish and chips, it would probably appreciate something with a bit of protein, or cat food, maybe. RSPB may have a bird rescuer in your area - we have one just around the corner from us with a huge flight area and an even larger out of the Town - she feeds and protects them just enough but won't allow them to become "tame". You may have someone similar. Sounds as though your baby is almost there to coping with flying - the plank sounds good - lure it up with food spaced at intervals.

It depends on where you live because here in FL we have the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary but take it to the SPCA
