First off Happy New Year to ALL!! :D
Ok so i have a completely white budgie and its cere turned from bluish to full white. Its not an albino as its eyes are solid black. and its recently moved into a nest box with a sure male. Im not going to judge its gender just coz it moved into the nest box with a male because i had a pair of male cocks that did the same thing. any help would be welcome

Your budgie is a hen

Hens often have a blue cere when not in breeding condition. White means she is coming back into condition and soon you will see it turn a light brown.

Not much to go by. There is a chance your bird is a Double factor spangle. It may show a hint of other colour in its feathers near the collar area.At this stage I would be saying it is possibly a hen. A nest feather hen (Baby) has a bluish cere with whitish nostrils. As this bird gets to start maturing the cere will turn to a brownish colour. Generally around the 3 to 4 months old. If it turns brown , it is a female. A double factor spangle cocks cere will turn dark blue like normal coloured male budgies. Albinos and Lutinos , Lacewings and Fallows have red eyes and the males cere turns to a fleshy pink colour when mature. Harlequins or Recessive Pieds have a full plum eye, and the cocks cere is also a fleshy pink Colour. All hens when coming into breeding condition will generally have their cere turn brown. A hen that is not in breeding condition might have a bluish white cere. Hope this helps.

hey

happy new year!

i cant really tell from that information but a certain way to tell the gender is the feel the two bones on the front lower body. if these are a fair space apart it is female because the eggs need to pass through if close it is a male. an easy way would be to do this to both of your budgies to know if they are the same

cheers :)

With the budgie's eyes being all black, you have a baby budgie so it's harder to tell the sex at that age. Males have dark blue ceres, females can have brown or a pale shade of blue and white.

Any budgies cere that has a lot of white on it is a female. You will have seen blue on the cere as a budgie female out of breeding condition has a cere that is both white and blueish.

Like this...

The fact that it is displaying an out of breeding condition cere means you should remove the nestbox until she is in better condition.

Budgie Male Female

Hi!

You can't tell the gender of a all white budgie, because it shows no sign of being male or female in appearance. You have to get it DNA sexed.
