I have a green cheek and he has all of these qualities except for talking. He can talk but not as much as other conures.

Well, conures are not the best talkers. I have a hybrid Green Cheek, and they are not known to talk, but can say a few words or phrases. There voices are gravely and hard to make out. My conure is only 8 months and will say hello, his name, and I love you. Green Cheeks are very cuddly birds with big personalities. Of course, every bird is different but in general they are loving little birds, and make excellent pets for a beginner.

The blue crowned conure is probably the best talker in the conure species. Sun conures talk better than Green Cheeks, but are extremely loud birds. They are screamers and they are not suitable for apartment living. They are actually louder than many larger parrots.

If you plan on getting a conure, do your research and visit with a few different birds to find one with a pleasant personality/good behavior. Buying from a reputable breeder is advised.

NONE !

All conures are loud even the green cheeks. All conures are territorial and the green cheeks are the most territorial.

All young conures are sweet, quiet and cuddly. Upon reaching sexual maturity they bite, scream and want to be what they intended to be; birds flying free, foraging for food and finding a mate.

Since they can't do any of these innate instinctive behaviors in a cage they develop neurotic behaviors such as screaming, biting and lots more.

Don't get a bird. You are being selfish.

No parrot is going to be perfect, but I think that a conure is a good choice for a pet. Here is a chart I've found that should help you:

I also think this link will help you. It explains the traits of many types of conures:

Each bird has different personalities. I hope that answers your question. :)
