What I do with my birds (mind you, I have 2) is leave either a radio on or a television set, so he has something to listen to. You could also position his cage close to a window so he can look outside.

If you don't want to get another bird because you are worried about him being less social with you, consider getting a budgie! They can (most likely) stay in the same cage, and they will keep eachother company and happy, but since theyr'e different breeds, they won't bond to eachother as closely as two of the same breed and ignore you!

If you know someone who likes your bird, they could stop by once a day to give it some attention. If not, or in addition to that, you could turn on the TV. It's a bit better than the radio for entertaining birds, since there is both sound and color (make sure they can see it). If you can afford an appliance timer, get one so your bird can have some peace and quiet for 12 hours to sleep.

you could try a mirror - but make sure the mirror is safe for birds. also, moving the cage near a window (please make sure hte window stays closed) and this will allow the bird to look out. also, leaving the radio on and tv are good options too. however, i think these will only work for a little while. once birds (especially conures) attach to you then they will want you.... good luck

You could turn the TV on and change the channel to his favorite soap opera.
