If he can't fly how did he get into the tree to begin with? I'm not trying to be sarcastic but don't put your self in a situation that you could possibly be injured in trying to rescue something that doesn't need rescuing

You can get the bird out of the pine tree by using stick long enough to get to the bird and bring it out avoiding the sharp edges of the leaves.

Every state has a Wildlife Resources Department located within each state's Department of Agriculture. Go to the web and look up your state's government offices, then go to the Dept Of Ag, and then click into their wildlife section. You will find a phone number listed. Call them and tell them of the problem. Hopefully, there will be a wildlife rehabilitator they can refer you to who specializes in wild birds who can help you. I have no idea as to what kind of bird you think is injured, whether it is a songbird, or a raptor, or a waterbird.

You may not like this answer, but do nothing.Injured animals are natures way of feeding other animals. The bird is wild and will likely die even if it is rescued.Close your blinds, say a prayer for it,and let nature do it's work.

shake the tree or use a water hose or shotgun

do you have anything that you can catch it in,or climb up to it,don't hurt yourself while doing this or try asking a freind or neighbor for their help
